These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the access and use of the Dori Finance platform (“Platform”) by businesses (“Users”). By using the Platform, Users agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Introduction
Dori Finance provides a software platform for businesses that leverages automation and artificial intelligence (AI) to assist with document processing and reconciliation recommendations. These services are designed to improve operational efficiency and require user verification and approval for all outputs.
2. Use of AI Technology
The Platform includes features that use AI for limited-risk tasks such as document categorization, financial data processing, and reconciliation suggestions. These outputs are generated automatically but are subject to user review and approval. The AI system does not make legally binding decisions or take autonomous actions with significant effects on Users.
3. Human Oversight and User Responsibility
Users are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated outputs before taking any business action. Dori Finance provides suggestions and automation support; however, Users retain full accountability for final decisions. Use of the Platform does not absolve Users from complying with relevant accounting, tax, or regulatory obligations.
4. Data Usage and Privacy
The Platform processes business-related data including sales, expenses, and bank transaction records. This data is used exclusively to provide services within the Platform and is not used to train or fine-tune AI models. Dori Finance complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and implements industry-standard security practices to protect user data.
5. Limitations of AI Outputs
AI-generated outputs on the Platform are intended to support Users’ workflows but should not be considered financial, legal, or professional advice. Dori Finance disclaims liability for any losses or damages resulting from decisions made based on AI recommendations.
6. User Rights
In accordance with the EU AI Act, Users have the right to:
- Be informed when interacting with AI-driven features.
- Request information on how AI outputs are generated.
- Opt out of using AI-enhanced features (where feasible and without limiting core functionality).
7. User License and Restrictions
Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform solely for internal business purposes. Users shall not:
- Modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform.
- Use the Platform for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dori Finance shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from:
- The use or inability to use the Platform;
- Any unauthorized access to or use of the Platform;
- Any AI-generated outputs or recommendations.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Portuguese laws. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Lisbon, Portugal.
10. Modifications to Terms
Dori Finance may revise these Terms to reflect updates to its services, including changes in AI use or legal requirements. Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Users will be notified of material changes in advance.
